The “Manila Music Tour 2009” is a unique optional tour offered on June 9.  It is a sampling of the fertile Manila music scene showcasing some of the more artistic and talented bands that the Philippines has to offer.  For music lovers, this is an opportunity to appreciate a night of music while socializing with fellow LESI delegates.

There will be 3 or 4 bands playing in venues no more than 10 minutes away from the conference hotel.  The bands will be playing Jazz, 60’s - 70’s and Blues / Rock and Roll. 

Shuttles will leave the hotel at 9 p.m. on June 9 and the participants will be brought to different venues.  Participants can hop on the shuttles that travel from one venue to another every 15 minutes and hop off at the next venue to listen to a band playing a different genre of music. Participants are encouraged to sample the music in all participating venues, but may also stay at any venue of their choice to enjoy the evening with the band that plays the music they truly like. 

Special tables will be reserved for the participants at every venue. 

The shuttles will include the Shangri-la Hotel as a stop beginning 11 p.m.

All in all, it will be a special night of fun, music, and revelry.
